In December 2025 V-Marine Oy successfully completed the services for the upgrade of the Vessel Traffic Management and Information System (VTMIS) of Bulgaria software.

The services include:

• VTMIS Upgrade design

• Technical consultations

• SW installation, integration, commissioning

• Adjustment and fine-tuning of the existing sensors

• VTMIS acceptance testing

• Familiarization training.

As of today, the VTMIS is under 4 years warranty support.

Background:

VTMIS Bulgaria is the national scale system and is used in the interests of the Maritime Administration, Border Police, Customs, Fishing Authorities and various commercial and governmental companies.

The configuration of the VTMIS Bulgaria is (please refer to “Master Plan”):

• Coverage - the whole Bulgarian coastal area from Romania to Turkey, Black sea and inland waterways are over 250 Km.

• Number of sites - 33

• Major subsystems:

  • Vessel Traffic System (VTS):

    • Radars (16 sites);

    • AIS Network (AIS Base Station (10 sites));

    • CCTV Cameras (16 sites);

    • 4 Radio Direction Finders (RDF) (4 sites);

    • Meteostations (19 sites);

    • DGPS Reference Station (1 site);

    •  Voice Radio Communication subsystem (20x VHF Voice Radio stations, 2x Radio Management systems);

  • Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS):

    • 12x VHF Voice Radio Station;

    • VHF DSC Radio stations (6 sites);

    • 11x MF/HF Receivers;

    • 10x NAVTEX Receivers;

    • MF/HF Transmitter (triple redundant), NAVTEX Transmitter (1 site);

  • Information systems (VTMIS Data Base, Single Window);

  • Telecommunications Network system (Microwave Links, WLAN, WAN, LAN);

  • Power supply system (UPSs, Diesel Generators);

• Control Centers:

  • Two Control Centers (port Varna, Port Burgas);

  • Redundant VTS and GMDSS Servers (Virtual Machines) as each Control Centre;

  • 18 VTS Operator workstations;

  • 6 GMDSS Operator workstations;

  • 15 Remote Operator Terminals.
